- both international networks aiming to combine East with West music

3 amazing Taiwanese performers each playing solos and in combinations with others. Loads of techniques used on each instrument; cello A string was detuned a "minor third" to better harmonise with the Guzheng for the final piece. Amazing suck and blow Shsh's accompanied one Guzheng solo; that's the voice!

The composers of the 4 "Western" pieces were there - 3 from New Zealand and 1 English. I'm sure I spotted Gavin Bryars in the audience too, that I've booked to see hear with friends in a few weeks time. The other 4 were Taiwanese.
