The Closing Of The Guiding Season

Today is the last day of guiding for Pat and me at Hill of Tarvit Mansionhouse for 2023. Of course, the dreadful rainy weather has continued. Much to my surprise we did welcome some visitors.

Hill of Tarvit closes on Sunday. The rain looks set to continue. Our journey to and from the Mansionhouse took much longer than expected owing to minor flooding on the road and large areas of sand and gravel lining large length of the roads and washed there from the fields.

In a few days time we will attend the Volunteers Tea Party to be held at Hill of Tarvit. Also in attendance will be Volunteers from Falkland Palace and Kellie Castle.

Today’s Blipfoto is of a 19th Century Japanese Bronze Jardiniere - circular with a wide rim applied with moulded scrolling dragons around the exterior and supported by a large dragon holding the base in its claws with its tail scrolling around in a circle.

We have been advised that the open season will be longer next year. Something to consider.
