Gently down the stream

When life comes crashing in

It's been a horribly wet day, which didn't begin to clear till halfway through the afternoon.  I honestly didn't know what I'd post - a few inside shots in the morning and a few soggy ones in town when I was buying extras for supper, but when I got home later on in the afternoon I couldn't go my usual way from the bus to the house because there'd been a major accident on the small junction I see from the office window - just on the other side of the garden wall.  Lots of ambulances, lots of police and medics and when I looked out the back there was an air ambulance parked on the Green with a host of excited children and their parents having a gawp.

Helicopter blipped through my open bedroom window as it took off.

K thought it was ghoulish to post this shot and I know what she means, but infact I saw no-one loaded into it or into any of the ambulances on the other side.  However, I'm sure there were casualties and I wish all those involved the very best.  A reminder to myself when I'm tempted to cross the road infront of the bus without knowing a) if a car is going to whizz around the stationary bus or b) overtake the bus by going the wrong side of the traffic island (which impatient drivers frequently do!)

Well, there we are, that's enough from me.  Hope your day's been a good one xx
