Wound up in Wexford

More fluting

Another excellent day of fluting.  More ensemble work in the morning.  After lunch Matthew Featherstone was the guest tutor.  He started by giving us a mini recital, of the Prokofiev flute sonata, and another, unaccompanied, piece using interesting extended techniques..

Then three brave souls performed short pieces for a masterclass - amazing differences in all three by the end.  After a short break, Matthew drew on his other interest of beatboxing to push us all beyond our normal limits with some improvisation and "fluteboxing".

I'm now in Cardiff, where the bed in my room at the Raddison Blu is almost as large as my entire hotel room in London.
