Pumpkin Carving

My son and the grands came over today - they usually come for a visit on the weekends...always a joy. Today was a lovely day, chilly, but the sky was so blue and the sun still warm on the skin. We went to nearby Helvetia Market where everything they sell is local. They raise their own chickens and turkeys...best I've ever tasted. Anyway, I take the kids up there periodically just to visit and pat the chickens (they roam free) and see the farm dogs. So today we went and picked out pumpkins (half price!) and then went back to my house to carve them. The younger one (about to be 6) is quite expressive as you can see, and his sister (just turned 10) is all smiles. We roasted the seeds too!
