We started the day with a walk to Quarr Abbey where we sat we sat outside the tea rooms with a bite to eat. The main issue was being chased by the bees which were out in full force.  Then, a walk around to The Fishbourne where we decided to stay for lunch, sitting outside in the courtyard. It wasn’t clear if the ‘buzzer’ which was supposed to call the waiting staff when we were ready to order so I went inside. It seemed much easier. The fish and chips were delicious. The ketchup that was dropped on PY’s bag might need a bit of work to clean up.

Then, the hour or so walk back to Ryde to walk off the food indulgence.  Eventually, it was time for M&R to head for the ferry so we went with them up the pier and waved them off. PY and I walked back, catching a quick glimpse of Starstruck, a Years & Years tribute, who was performing (I think) the final act of Isle of Wight Pride, before sitting with a drink in the Harbour House, people watching.
