A day in the life

Transitions

Autumn, definitely autumn. Changes in weather conditions are quick and rough, a crack in between coldfronts let us temporarily see the sun during afternoon, tomorrow we're back to a more normal rain period.
Bathing season for most of us are over, the temperature above and under water are closing in to each other but not in a pleasant way, the ladder into the water is used mainly by people using the sauna behind me.
The bridge connecting land to island also divides climate zones, the relative warm water lets us have a milder autumn than the people a bit inland on the other side.
My short period as a cowhand are over this evening, my landlord comes home from Stockholm tonight and I can go back to being only a teacher on a pension.
November will be upon us shortly.
