Pumpkin Cat

I wasn’t going to bother with the mono Monday challenge. No access to a bat, no access to a cat (and no desire to, we’re usually shooing them away from our garden at home), and a photo of a straw hat seems a bit pointless.

So it’s the NS book club book I finished today, Sebastian Faulkes’ The Seventh Son. A mix of IVF, paleoanthropology and genomics, and questions about what it is to be human. I’m looking forward to the online interview with the author, which I’ll catch tomorrow. In the spirit of the challenge the image features a photo of a carved pumpkin cat, the work of J’s sister. She sent J a photo over the weekend which I’ve accessorised for the image.
