Monday morning

A damp and grey Monday morning. I picked Luca up soon after 8; this is the row of garages next to Ruth and Josh's house. An enormous copper beech tree spreads its branches over one end of the row, currently shedding its vivid leaves.
Luca was tired after a busy weekend (a Saturday trip to see a cousin in Southport, and on Sunday, both a Halloween party and Mariyah's evening wedding do).
This meant a quiet day together, alternating between indoor games and episodes of children's programmes on the BBC iPlayer. All good.
