Natural flow

Rain, rain, and yet more rain on one of those gloomy days when it never seems to get properly light. No matter, I needed to wait in for a parcel; yet another parcel that failed to arrive due to the delivery driver encountering "an unexpected problem".

The perfect day to try out a recipe for a warming French Cassoulet - we had it for our evening meal, and it was delicious! Four more portions in the freezer to enjoy over the next few weeks.

Carved a pumpkin this evening in readiness for Halloween. Hadn't taken any photos today until I noticed that the pumpkin seeds, floating in a bowl of water, had settled in a circular shape following the curve of the bowl.

(The seeds will be dried, seasoned and baked - they make tasty snacks. In the past, separating the seeds from the pulp has been a time-consuming faff. Noticed an article (somewhere on t'internet) recently suggesting that if you put the seeds and pulp into a bowl of water, the seeds come away from the pulp quite easily. It works!)
