My topsy-turvy life

Nos Galan Gaeaf

Owen and Daddy day and a trip out to Chirk Castle to make the most of the sunny weather...we didn't even have to wear coats. We also got to do the Halloween trail around the gardens with different activities at each point, including throwing bean bags onto tree stumps, to get the ingredients for a potion to protect the castle from evil spirits.
- a stick (ffon)
- some leaves (dail)
- a beech nut (cneuen ffawydd)
- a blade of grass (glaswellt)
- something orange (oren)
Potion made, it was off to the dungeon to carry out the spell.

Castle ptotected it was off to the playground* for a lightsaber battle, along with coffee, cake and ice cream. I do enjoy these Owen and Daddy days.

Then it was home for the important task of decorating the house* in preparation for some trick or treating. Owen got a great haul of 'treats' from his first time out trick or treating, even if it was a bit overwhelming by the end.

A very successful day.
