My topsy-turvy life

By Rathmandu

Stone Age man/boy

Today's half term activity was a trip into town and a visit to the museum to have a look at their 'Could you survive the Stone Age?' drop in session.
Unsure at first, Owen soon got the hang of grinding corn for flour using both Stone Age and Bronze Age* techniques, and was scarily good -and proud- at making a Stone Age axe and cutting tools using flint and elk antler.
After all that there was an Imagination Playground exhibition too where he got to play with some blocks to make, well, whatever he wanted really, although it all got a bit much towards the end, as he got hungry and tired.

Apparently this is a blip birthday! The equivalent of 8 years worth of blips, just spread over nearly 12. I don't think I ever thought I would keep it going this long but I do love being able to look back at everything that's happened over that time and it still feels like a fairly special and unique place to share all these memories.
Thank you to everyone that has taken any time to keep up to date with our adventures and long may the adventures continue.
