Early Snow

The day began with bright sunshine streaming through the trees, backlighting leaves in a marvelous display. Yesterday's snow plastered trunks on one side only in an odd juxtaposition. Usually leaves have fallen before the first snowfall. Snow in October is a new departure. There are even green leaves in the background.

I liked that the group of slimmer trunks are visible through the gap between the larger foreground trees. I think it adds depth to the image.
