Candle snuff fungus

I decided not to do my usual Pilates class today as the previous session didn't really suit me so headed to Woodbury Common late morning.  It was quite a nice morning with the sun coming and going.  I didn't walk far but spent time looking for various fungi on the fallen logs around.

I ended up taking a lot of photos as I was photo stacking them.  This resulted into far too many and I have back blip this image as the computer has been protesting while doing the photo stacking in Photoshop.  I mananged to get this one processed on Tuesday but was beginning to think it may be easier, quicker and cheaper to learn to paint the images instead of photographing them.
