Fannies Assemble!

It has been over 5 years since we saw Teenage Fanclub (The Fannies) at a 3 day stint at The Barrowlands and it has been 8 months since I bought the tickets for tonight's show for Mrs C's birthday, but I recall trying to find out where the seats where in The Assembly Rooms's Music Room, but I had worked it out wrong... we were front row exact middle, meaning I must have been 1st or 2nd in the queue when ordering... sheesh... I thought we were row 3 to the right, but Row C is front row... eh?

Aaaaanyways.... first Sweet Baboo came on who we'd seen at the Greenman Festival in 2009 and he was lovely and funny. He sang a song about lockdown in Cardiff when him and his wife walked their neighbour's dog everyday and at the end of the walk the dog look devistated the walk was over and had to go home, but he kept telling it, don't worry, we'll see you tomorrow again.

Then the boys came on, with Sweet Baboo an extra band member, rolling through their songs old and new, fab. Afterwards Sweet Baboo was selling his and TF's merch, that was some shift he put in, so we bought his CD... we were going to anyway...

Earlier in the day I was heading out for Arlo's walk, and heard shotguns going off rapidly, so had to think quickly where to go... headed for Currie Woods, passing the field where they were shooting. At an open gate into that field where I could see ther shooters in the distance, there were 2 pheasants busy fighting each other over the hens that were probably being shot, not caring about the noise in the background, it seemed surreal, I thought about blipping it but it didn't feel right. They need some of Arlo's flight not fight mentality! Arlo really enjoyed the woods, he's always happy there and the sun came out and lit up the top of the trees like floodlights... so I really enjoy the woods there too.
