Fiddles five

Last night I went to a wonderful music session. There are usually around eight of us playing in the pub, last night there were 16 of us which made us rearrange all the furniture so that we could sit together.

There were five fiddles, four melodeons, a banjo, two concertinas, pipes, guitar, harmonica, percussion and me on piano.  It was a real wall of sound!  

A couple of folkie friends from down south were staying in the area so lots of people had come to play along with them. There were also songs from a number of musicians who are also singers.  

A cracking night!
