Time to Reflect

Today, my friends J and C, and I, visited Sculpture by the Lakes, sculpturebythelakes near Dorchester, as C's birthday treat. (She will be 70 next week.)
The sun shone all day and we enjoyed exploring all the interesting sculptures carefully arranged throughout the botanic garden. The garden is relatively new, and many specimens of  coniferous tress, which are endangered in the  wild, have been planted there, to form an interesting and varied collection. The garden's curators are also creating a National Collection of Forsythias.
The first extra is of Thoth, who was the  Egyptian god of the moon , wisdom and magic, and whose head resembles an Ibis. This sculpture was made in bronze by Simon Gudgeon who owns the  sculpture park.
The second extra shows a sculpture of a pair of swans in one of the lakes.
(In case it's not obvious, the sculpture in the main blip says "time to reflect".)
