Bush Turkey's - Team relay - 6 x 1km...

It's been run and won...
After weeks of preparation Friday 6pm arrived and it was raining... We so need the rain because everything is so dry and there's been many bushfires about but it could have waited till after the runners had finished... It changes the course from dry and fast to wet and slippery... Traction was hard to get and the turnaround instead of being controlled and tight was wide and slow...
So much fun was had... Our 2 race callers on the night trashed talked so much we were all laughing so much while the runners ran... We cheered and encouraged all, even those on opposite teams...
The Red team were the Winners and Ruben won their Team Player award... Afterwards one of our running couples opened their house to us all and we went back to there for pizza and drinks... 20 pizzas delivered and enjoyed by all... There was beers flowing, we left about 8pm and I heard that some didn't get home to after night...
