Shaggy Inkcaps

Also known as lawyer’s wig and shaggy mane.

I found this little clump growing next to the footpath on my walk to Wetherby this morning. They look quite fresh.

The walk is 4.5 miles….it took me 1hr 40 mins..which included the stop to photograph these mushrooms, (a four shot focus stack). I had three attempts at this group. I did find some other fungi so I had to check them out too…but his group won the day for me.

I caught the bus home and as were passing through Clifford at 11 a.m. there was a small group gathering at the war memorial…the driver of the bus paused for a moment at the bus stop opposite even though there was no one to get on or off. A nice touch I thought.
