I watched the Remembrance Sunday service at the Cenotaph in London on the TV prior to the arrival of my friend A from West Sussex. A dull day, with rain threatened later, we walked to Farfield Mill for lunch and a look around the mill. It had to be today as the rest of the time she is here it’s closed. Several interesting exhibitions and lots of history of the area, wool and mills. Worth a visit if you are in the area. We returned to Sedbergh for an early dinner as we were going to the Remembrance Sunday Concert at St Andrews Church. Sedbergh Brass Band were playing a variety of war related pieces with a grand finale of Highland Cathedral featuring the bagpipes. Excellent concert.
