Mono Monday: New Moon

We missed most of the latest storm, Storm Debra, but had a lot of rain this morning when I went into town for a few things.  The Mono Monday theme is 'New Moon'; there was no chance of seeing one first thing but the storm cleared from the sky later on.  However, I believe that, by definition, the new moon is generally invisible and certainly, there's nothing to see in the sky around here.  So I had to think laterally.  This isn't new, but could it be said to be half 'mooning'?
