Emden

A vehicle carrier moored across the River Thames from Gravesend, at Tilbury Docks. The docks have space for several thousand cars, I thought Hyundai but the ship's info says it is under charter to Volkswagen...
It's called Emden and sails under the flag of Liberia. Vehicle carriers are frequent visitors here, probably the biggest ships entering the Thames. The really huge ones (the container ships that block the Suez Canal) are too big.
Poor quality shot: too much contrast for the little Sony. I must now bite the bullet and revive my DSLR or better still, get a new one...
