Hedge Removal

A day full of different things.  We have had an ever growing Leylandii hedge behind our house in a neighbour's garden, but today contractors had come in to remove it.  We watched with interest as the team of two went about their work.  This is Chelsea, who had the role of climbing the hedge and taking down the higher branches.  To give some idea, the roof behind is on a typical two storey house; the hedge was well over the ridge height and we could only appreciate how much light it had robbed us of as the day progressed.

We didn't stay in all day, heading out for a walk before a pub lunch and then I headed into work for a few hours.  I had another photographic job after work in the council offices to take a portrait of the leader and vice-chairman, as well as the new council members.  Everything went according to plan and I was home mid evening after an eventful day.
