Elemental (my dear Watson)

Fabulous, bracing day today.  We decided to go to Woolacombe to experience Storm Debi - and what an experience it was.  It was a bit painful coming over the sand dunes down to the beach, as the sand was flying up in our eyes, but by the time we were down on the beach, it was just dancing across the surface, and it was beautiful.  We stood watching it for quite a while, then stood and watched the sea foam blowing in, and the huge waves rolling in the distance - then walked down to one end of the beach, watching the waves again, and then back.  Bracing!

We drove back to Ilfracombe and parked near the seafront, then had a walk along Capstone Parade to watch the waves there.  Some good big splashy ones!  Then back home for a cuppa and a relaxing afternoon/evening (and much photo editing).
