Petrocosmea cryptica

This morning a few of us from Winchester Uke Jam met with the new  fundraising team for Winchester Hospice. The Jam raises money for the  Hospice, and it was interesting to hear about new ideas the Hospice  team has for fundraising events in the coming year, which we could  support.

Then I had  a couple of other jobs to do in town. Fortunately, for  once it was a dry day.
This little plant is one I bought  a few weeks ago at the South African Bulb Group meeting in Winchester. It was in bud then but now the dainty  flowers are opening up. It is a gesneriad, so a relation of African Violets, Streptocarpus and Achimenes. It actually comes from  Indo-China. It has a very long name for such a small plant!
