It was a chilly but quite sunny day, with lovely colours in the sky towards the end of the day.

I had a frustrating journey to the swimming pool this evening.  On my usual route I encountered a road closure, so had to turn round and find an alternative route.  On my alternative route, I encountered another road closure, so had to turn round again and find a third route.  By this time I was running very late, with the added delay from three sets of traffic light controlled roadworks, and very nearly gave up and returned home.  However, I eventually arrived and I am glad I stuck with it.  I enjoyed the swim although I only had time for a shorter swim than usual - 1650m.
