Oaks are on the turn

I've found that oak trees are invariably the ones whose leaves turn colour last in Autumn. This magnificent tree stands in the grounds of Olivia's café at The Outwoods. We went there this afternoon for a coffee and to take Basil for a run.

Carol brought my photos back this morning, that I'd submitted for last night's camera club competition. My photo of Lincoln Cathedral's nave was criticised for not being symmetrical. The left hand side of the image didn't quite match the right.

When such sanctimonious twaddle passes for valid critique, it's small wonder that people get turned off by camera clubs.
