Dallachy Memorial

Dallachy Strike Wing Memorial, Bogmoor near Speymouth. Noticed this on the roadside by the road from Fochabers to Spey Bay. During World War II there was an RAF airfield sited just behind this memorial - now disused. The wreaths and flowers look surprisingly fresh. A fitting memorial to the young men who lost their lives flying from here and other fields.
At Spey Bay itself where there is a nice cafe and display by the Whale and Dolphin people Mrs P walked along the shingle beach head down looking for nice pebbles and me head up to the skies. A large bird was hovering over the Spey but never came very close. I think it was an osprey but as I'm not sure didn't blip. But they are known to be in this area. If anyone looks at the shot and can confirm ID (or not) I'd be happy to hear.
