While on my runs

Rain on leaves and petals

Crossed over to the eastern suburbs this morning to collect a plate and a bowl that S had put in for repair. The broken crockery had been part of her great grandmother's dinner set; from the 1890s. At some point these two pieces had been broken and glued together inexpertly by someone. The current repair is excellent, and guaranteed to withstand ordinary wear and tear as if new.

On the way back we got some more garden mix, and some more plants including lettuce, feijoa, and rosemary. More to do this weekend.

Then a brisk half hour walk on which I saw this camellia. It was the only intact flower I could see on the tree.
