The Lozarithm Lens

Calne (Friday 17th November 2023)

Despite being halfway through November the magnificent autumn colours are still in evidence all over Wiltshire at present, though this week's winds have done for this unsheltered tree in Sainsbury's car park. The Extra shows where they all went.

I was there to photograph a nearby shop that had recently closed, but got sidetracked.

Thanks to BikerBear for Flower Friday.

Lozarithm's Lozarhythm Of The Day:
Beatles - She Loves You (2023 Stereo Mix) (recorded 1 July 1963, EMI Studios, London)
While I was still playing and investigating thoroughly my newly-acquired Red Album, The Beatles / 1962-1966, I was particularly keen to hear the first time stereo release of She Loves You. This track has attracteda lot of criticism on Beatles forums because the end result is not as flawless as was hoped. It seems not to have been created from a pristine mono pressing such as found on the box set of Beatles mono EPs re-issued on CDs, but includes some surface noise of crackles and pops, suggesting it was mastered from a vinyl single, known as a 'needle drop'. So don't listen too closely...
