It's CHRISTMAS!!!

OK, maybe not quite yet, but tonight was the annual switch-on of the Holt Christmas Lights, so it feels a bit like the start of the season.  Always a good evening; the town is always packed and there are lots of things going on.  There was a full band of bagpipers who led Santa Claus into town, a parade of pantomime horses that we missed, and jazz and pop bands playing at different places in town.  The town was packed with people and there was a really good atmosphere.

Thankfully, it is not at all commercialised with only a few sales stands and several food and drink places.  This was one of the stalls, and I've added extras of one of the main band members greeting Santa Claus and the fireworks which followed the switching on of the lights.
