Building Sn3 and N Worlds

A surprise visitor

I caught a view of a Rio Grand Southern coal tender yesterday moving in the Durango Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad yard here in Durango, CO.  I thought it was RGS #20 - my favorite narrow gauge locomotive.  It is usually living at the Narrow Gauge Museum in Golden CO.

So today we were downtown and saw the train pass ahead and saw the tender again underway.  So we drove north and parked near our house and I caught this loco pass - not #20 but #41!  What a surprise as it usually lives at Knotts Berry Farm in California.

So it wasn't #20 but #41 is my second best favorite.  Both live on my Sn3 layout.  A nice day for trains!
