Happy Magpie

I noticed this magpie pacing back and forth looking over the foliage and clearly on a search. He made one attempt to walk in at one spot but changed his mind. He then came to another spot and just jumped in. After a second he came out with the find. Ahh, well done.

The white around the neck is just one of the markings of the male. In the female it is more grey in that area. The strong morning sun makes it difficult to get a clear photo.

A quiet day at home. Eyes playing up so I didn’t go out and do the purchases I had planned. I think my eyes would be totally fine if I would just stop reading. Oh well!
