Wadi Qelt

After the morning service at the Anglican Cathedral we left Jerusalem for the final time and travelled into the desert, stopping to see St George's monastery at Wadi Qelt. From the desert it was amazing looking down at this oasis.

On to Jericho, below sea level, we caught a fleeting sight of the dead sea. Lunch in Jericho and then a brief stop at the Mount of Temptation. Next stop was the Qasr el-Yahud baptismal site on the Jordan river. Our journey then continued through the Jordan valley to Tiberias, where we found our next hotel on the shore of Lake Galilee.

I thought the last hotel was great but this is amazing!!! The room overlooks the lake and there is also an outdoor pool, it didn't take us long to end up in the pool to cool off after the heat of the day. It's a hard life! Don't forget folks, this is study not holiday! Lol! This is now a Jewish hotel so the food is different again.

This hotel also has decent internet access. You wouldn't believe how much I have struggled to post a blip in the last few days! I have been running a day behind so I have just backblipped yesterdays as well. Do please have a look at that as well if you have time. Hope you are enjoying the journey.

Hoping to wake up in time for the sunrise over the lake tomorrow! 5am, we'll see!
