Joseph's Carpenters Shop First Century Nazareth

I was up at 5am to watch the sunrise, although it was tempting to go back to sleep. There was a low cloud base so I had to wait 40mins to catch the sun. I took one or two 73 pictures before it became too bright. It was lovely and peaceful and the last five minutes were wonderful. Too late to go back to bed then so did 20 lengths of the pool before breakfast.

We started earlier today so we could beat the rush and get to the top of Mount Tabor to the Church of the Transfiguration. There were some wonderful views over the plains of Jezreel, although also a bit of haze.

On to Nazareth village where we were transported back to the first century, met some of the characters, were shown round the village and then served a first century feast. It was a great experience.

We stayed in Nazareth for the afternoon visiting the Basilica of the Annunciation, the Synagogue and St Gabriel's Church with Mary's well.

Back to the hotel in time for a swim, this time in the lake itself.

Yesterday I posted pictures for the last two days which you may not have seen. Hope you are enjoying the journey. Last day of the tour tomorrow.
