A Day Worth Recording

Endlight

The end of an excellent day.

The morning spent doing the last bits of tidying and getting the last bits of the wrong sort of twigs out of the line. This afternoon Doug came over and we had a very pleasant and relaxed afternoon pootling trains around the FWR.

This shot is perhaps an unexpected choice of 120 others, but we'd commented during the day that despite having designed other parts of the track to be more photogenic, this corner, especially with the evening light highlighting the steam, was particularly effective - albeit entirely by accident.

Last night's mystery baking turned out to be not one, but two, large ginger and syrup cakes. Apparently a mis-read of the recipe that it was for four cakes, not one. I'm not complaining - it was very yummy - and there's still more.
