Day 166 of 365 - Church of Saint Mary the Virgin!

Welcome to day 166 of 365 (Finished image after Editing)

The original photo was taken this morning in the village of Stoneleigh in Warwickshire. The image is of the parish Church of St Mary the Virgin. The church is situated in the south of the village, near to the River Sowe. It was originally of Norman design and dates back to about the first half of the 12th century. The church which is mainly built of red sandstone, has seen many repairs and additions over the the years. The South Aisle is one such example, it was added to the church during the 14th Century. It is thought that the Font may even predate the Norman church. It dates back to either the late 11th or early 12th Century. It is said to have been brought over to the church from Maxstoke Priory.

As always the shot was taken with my iPhone 5. The photo was taken using the camera App Mattebox for iPhone. The original image can be found here: Unedited original Image.

First of all I used the app Dynamic Light to boost the lighting to the image with the Standard setting. Next I used the app PhotoCopier to apply a reproduction of the tone, texture, grain and detail of the artist Holbein's painting called - Nikolaus Kratzer. Finally I used Distressed FX to add extra texture to the image using the Stirred overlay and the Lazarus Texture.
