Day 167 of 365 - Quinton Pool!

Welcome to day 167 of 365 (Finished image after Editing)

The original photo was taken this morning in the Cheylesmore area of Coventry. The image is looking out across Quinton Pool. The pool and the manor of Cheylesmore has history dating back to the time of Leofric, the Earl of Mercia and his wife Lady Godiva in the 11th century. Later The Pool was became a part of a Royal Hunting Park that once covered a large part of the area.

As always the shot was taken with my iPhone 5. The photo was taken using the camera App ProCamera for iPhone. The original image can be found Here: Unedited original Image.

First of all I used the app called Mextures to apply some lighting and textures to the image. The Layers that I applied were, Vignette, Mulberry, Ford Screen, Leaker and the Sunflower Overlay. Next I used ShockMyPic on the image to help make the picture look a little more painterly. I then used Distressed FX to add some wildlife (Birds) and some extra texture to the image using the Birds Trio overlay and the Cedar Texture. Finally I used PhotoToaster to add the Shadow II frame.
