Gilbert Bain Selfie

Showers this morning, dried up quickly.  The sun tried to break through, but the cloud won.  More showers this evening.  A windy day, calmer tonight. 

Up at 5am, early shift in the airport.  A mix of check-in desk and meeting and boarding flights.  Edinburgh had a technical issue on arrival.  My supervisor let me finish early to go see mam in the hospital.  Dad, Laura, Elise and Ruth all in visiting.  Sorted some things for mam's work on my way home.  Walkies with Sammy, now a quiet night at home. 

Poor mam has been through the mill.  The MRI scan came back with various issues, including sepsis.  Thankfully it's been caught early, and they prepared mam for the air ambulance, and she headed south to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary this evening.  She's settled in, and in the best place, dad to head down tomorrow.  Hope for good news tomorrow, and soon to start a speedy recovery.  While the family have been upset and shocked, mam remains cheery and positive as usual.  A quick selfie, me, mam and Laura, in the Gilbert Bain Hospital, Lerwick.
