New coffee shop!

It's Wednesday, which means a  round morning walk through Brockwell Park, Herne Hill and Dulwich, and a cup of coffee along the way. There's a new cafe on the block: West 16th. The sandwich was delicious! The cake looked equally wonderful, but I'm trying to cut down on the sugar. So saying that, there was honey in the sandwich.

There's a tiny chill in the air, so I lifted the pot of the avocado plant on feet and wrapped it up. It's managed to survive in the garden after growing in the compost heap for a couple of years. I don't expect any fruit, but it's leaves are a good addition to the greenery.

The sold sign for the upstairs flat has been nailed to the fence. I hope their sale goes through smoothly. We await new neighbours with the useful mix of hope and fear. It does feel like we live in the same house, because we do – 1970s flat conversions didn't take into account any kind of soundproofing. The new neighbour is probably thinking the same about us.
