Lunch spread

This is the last luncheon we'll be sharing-- my two friends and me because they will be leaving early monday a.m. for a 12 hour drive home to North Carolina.
All the food has been scrumptious this weekend. The house is beautifully put in order and feels comfortable again. Since the long renovation-destruction in late winter/early spring I have not felt like this house was my home. So, we've had lots of fun catching up on everything, exchanging small gifts. deciding on placement of pictures, colours, etc. eating yummy food and ... and... I shall miss them!!
For the whole weekend E. prepared all the meals. We ate our main meal as lunch by 2 p.m.Each one varied and delicious. Today's lunch menu from bottom to top:
avocado-sour cream dip with crostini, roasted herbed chicken thighs with fresh mozzerella circles melted on top, rapini and zucchini steamed and dressed with olive oil, new baby red potatoes with parsley and butter. There was mixed fruit compote with creamy organic yogurt for dessert and Belgium cookies.
