Lots of expensive cushions!

Today I went out for lunch with two friends. Good to catch up on news and a nice reasonably priced lunch in Cote.

Later we went into Teddington as it was the Christmas Lights up event and our grandchildren were singing carols in their school choir. They sang very well and it was nice to watch.

Before that I decided to have a look in some of the nearby charity shops and bought five items that I can give the children as Christmas presents for £11.  3 were unused items still in their original packaging including a space station Meccano set. I do approve of recycling in this way!  However it was interesting to see the difference in the prices for similar items in the different charity shops for both clothes and other items. I will not be buying anything from the new British Heart Foundation Shop as their prices were very high. This is a big shop where formerly there was a very good sports equipment shop where we used to buy good trainers etc…and is missed.

The photo is of a display of very nice, but expensive, cushions in a gift shop. Do we really need cushions like this to use for only about a month a year?
