Paper Boats at the Parliament

Singing in the sunshine (it was pouring when we rehearsed in the Canongate Kirk hall).

The big paper boat was full of little paper boats made by children, on recycled paper torn from books that were going for pulping. On them they had written messages of their hopes for the future of the planet. After we'd sung and listened to poems read by Kathleen Jamie and others, the little boats were launched.

It was a lovely opportunity to meet up with singers from all over the city, a few of whom we recognised. Who knew there were so many choirs in Edinburgh.
