The Lady in the Van

We went to the theatre tonight with friends, after dining at Wetherspoons.
The play was the Lady in the Van by Alan Bennett, performed by the Unleashed Theatre Company, a charity, who have their own historic theatre, the Royal Lyceum in Torquay.  
It was fabulous. The audience loved it and gave a rapturous show of appreciation to the actors, especially ‘the lady’, and two Alan Bennetts.
In the foyer there was an exhibition of paintings and writings by local schoolchildren about homelessness, which is a theme in the play.
