Candlesnuff Fungus Focus Stack

The title is a bit of a tongue twisting mouthful….sorry, but it is what it says.

We braved the madness of Friday Morning supermarket shopping today…it was chaos…anyone would think that TSTMNBM is tomorrow….car park was jammed, aisles were jammed …mostly very old, very slow people.

This is why I hate this time of year.

Anyway, after lunch I popped down to the woods armed with my tripod and a macro lens, to ’de-stress’  with a super little fungus.

This turned into a 25 shot focus stack…I originally took 50 frames but decided to go with every alternate frame for the stack. Merged (very slowly) in Photoshop and then processed in Lightroom. It’s not perfect but it does show up all the ‘fruiting bodies’ quite nicely.

Not an emergency today :-)
