Elephant

Bristol decorating day 2.  The 'elephant in the room' of the 2nd room to work on is the 'cupboard' in the corner, built into the chimney alcove.

Prior to all the restructuring works this contained the hot water tank.  Well, almost contained it, the door didn't actually close. Prior to that it would seem to have been shelves.

Behind all of this were remnants of the 60s.

After a bit of mulling we decided to take it all out, cupboard and all.

All this rather echoed our very first days in the Cambridge house, pre-children, when my Dad helped us rip out a similarly rubbish hardboard-clad cupboard from the alcove of our bedroom.
