What I've Done

Crummock mists

We headed for Buttermere today, but as the temperatures were -5 C we thought it wise to avoid the passes, which could be icy, instead, going over Whinlatter (less steep) and via Crummock. The low mist hanging over Crummock was spectacular, and we simply had to stop and photograph.

After we parked at Buttermere, walked the length of the lake, and climbed Fleetwith Pike, then over to Haystacks (extra on the summit), before descending back to Lake level and walking back the length of the lake to the car.

Not a ridiculously long walk, but in the sub zero temperatures, we were totally pooped when we got home.
