Lonely escalators

Escalators at Birmingham's Central Library which is mostly-closed and soon to be closed completely (29th June is the last day it's open, apparently). It's been closing in stages for years (?) now, and today it's virtually totally closed down - I remember hearing that the lending library had ceased operating, but it turns out that everything from the second floor up has shut too.

Feel like it's a bit of a shame.

These escalators have a nice 60s feel to them, always something I've liked about the place.
