Life through the lens...

On Paul’s Pond.

Our first snowy walk with the Pudseys this winter.
-3 when we set off from home after first going to the market for our fish.
16 of us met at Golden Acre Park, Leeds.
By that time it was a balmy 1C!

We walked through the park, and then crossed over the road, across the fields to reach Paul’s Pond. Partly frozen as you can see. Wonder if you can spot the mandarin duck?

It was such a beyond beautiful day for a winter walk, which took us past a farm where the cows were enjoying breakfast.
Across fields with the sheep also enjoying the hay. Through woods, to Eccup and back to Golden Acre Park.
Half way round we stopped for our picnic lunch. Bet there weren’t many other picnickers out and about today! We are a hardy bunch!
However after walking 7 miles it was nice to go in the cafe for a cuppa when we finished.

I have put a collage on as an extra.
The Stained Glass panel was new. It’s outside the cafe and is part of Leeds Year of Culture.2023.

Back home now. Nice and cosy. Wood burner lit and fish cakes and mushy peas for tea.
Think I am going to sleep well tonight.
