Life through the lens...

Freezing!

On a day like today this gentleman must have one of the coldest jobs going!

I stopped off at our local Ice Cream Parlour to buy some ice cream.
Why you may ask on a day when the temperature barely rose above freezing.
Well they make our favourite Whisky ice cream and last year they ran out before Christmas.
Pleased to say they had plenty today so I bought a large litre tub.
It is delicious with mincemeat and pear frangipane tart, as well as cherries jubilee.

The Goodall family of Tong have been farming for over 100 years and 30 years ago decided to use some of their excess milk to make ice cream.
In 2018 they won the trophy for best artisan dairy ice cream maker at the National Ice Cream Competition.
They now have 30 flavours, but our favourite is still Whisky.
Hope there will be some left for Christmas!
